FAQs
What happens at my first appointment?
1
At your first appointment, i will take a detailed history of your injury or condition. After this, i will peform a
physical examination to determine what could be causing your symptoms. Depending on the length of
appointment, and what your presenting with, i will also provide some treatment.
How many treatment sessions will i need?
2
This depends on your injury, your goals, and what stage in your recovery journey you are. I aim to take you
from injury to pain free as quickly as possible, and recovery timeline can often be discussed in the initial
consultation. For sports massage, many people benefit from regular sessions every so often, to keep them pain
free and reduce the likelihood of injuries.
Can i claim back any treatment costs on my Insurance or Workplace Scheme?
3
For sports massage sessions, it may be possible to use some insurance or workplace schemes to cover costs
of treatment. It is important to check with your provider if sports massage treatment is accepted, and if so, how
much your policy covers. If you are still unsure, please let me know via the contact details on my home page, or
in person at your treatment session. *Please note - Injury assessment and rehabilitation sessions are currently
unable to be covered via insurance or workplace policy*.
What do i need to wear to my appointment?
4
If your injury or area of pain is the lower body or leg/foot, please bring shorts with you if possible. For the back
or upper body, and you are female, a sports bra or vest top is fine.
